INFO:Gasparroni is a former centre-back and side-back. His career started in 1962 at Civitanovese. He signed for Pisa one year later, spending almost the rest of his career in Tuscany. He played for Pisa from 1963 to 1972 and in 1974-75 for a total 247 appearances and 1 goal. He mostly played in Serie B but had the chance to play in Serie A in the 1968-69 season. He also had short experiences with Catanzaro in 1972-73 and Parma in 1973-74.
Whether he played as centre-back or side-back, Gasparroni was the kind of player who stays focused on defending. In fact, he scored only one goal in his career with a header against Modena on 31st March 1968. Despite a short physique, Gasparroni could rely on strength as well as sweeping, effective, clean tackles that earned him the nickname
Ruspa (Italian for "Bulldozer"). His ability to clear the area with no trouble even in the most critical situations made him an irreplaceable starter in Pisa's team for nearly a decade.
