Ștefan Sameș was Romanian defender and one of the greatest Steaua defenders in club's history. He was famous for his great defensive play and especially for his aerial play in which he was dominant both in defense and attack. He also possessed really strong shot which made him even more dangerous to opposition goal and was also a free kick taker, mostly from long distance. One of his trademark moves were his long passes with which he could easily find his attackers on the opposite half. He was fifth most capped Steaua player in history with 274 games played for the club. For Romanian NT he played in 47 games. He was captain of both club and his NT.
