INFO:Legendary captain of Dukla Prague. He was central defender, very reliable and consistent, from 1970 to 1975 he played 151!! league games in a row, without missing the single one. One of the smallest but toughest stoppers in Dukla, blond stocky build, fearless in duels, courageous with solid long passing from the back line. Samek played for Czechoslovakia between 1973-1978 eleven games. His entire career (since students) teamed up with Dukla Praha played in it in the years 1956 to 1981 and earned two championship titles in 1977 and 1979. Twice won the Czechoslovak Cup (1969, 1981). In the league he played 355 matches and scored 16 goals. Samek is one of the footballers who were completely disproved the widely held perception that the players at the top level only know how to kick a ball and otherwise - nothing much. Along with Zdenek Nehoda successfully graduated from the Law Faculty of University in Prague and both won the title there doctor of Laws. After a certain period Václav Samek worked at the Ministry of Interior, tried that too as a commentator in the sports section of the Czechoslovak television, but it turned out that it surely could be better with a ball on the pitch before the microphone in front of a television camera. In 1992 he returned, this time as a club officer. He was the head football Dukla before June 30, 1996. Was at this time hit the famous club with eleven national champion titles, the European Cup semi-finalist and four-time America's Cup winner deep crisis. In 1994, the economic situation has changed so severe that after the descent of the Premier League was Samek in the role of the President of the Assembly on June 24 league clubs forced to announce - Dukla will play the second, but only the third league, the CFL. In 1996, Samek left and returned to work a lawyer at the Ministry of Interior. But that's another story. Today, Václav Samek when given the opportunity, puts on boots and runs on the lawn. Playing for internationals joined Dukla, October 28, 2008 to internacional match against the Czech Republic, a feature on the 60th anniversary of Dukla. He rolled his youth as a flawless performance in defense contributed to the victory of Dukla 2-0.
