I'm not sure about ACC and DEF, don't you think that this stats could be raise by 2 points?

Not sure for higher DEF, he was very aggresive in marking opponents always dedicated play on mental and physical strenght rather than on some defensive inteligence.. ACC is fine IMO, he was faster without ball..

JeanMarc wrote:
His DEF should be higher regardless of his mental and physical strength, players like Merkel or Jones had much more strength but they wre nowhere near good defenders as Vogts...

Charrúan wrote:
I can't agree more from 85.. Peruzović was top class stopper during 70's even in Europe and he is on 86..

JeanMarc wrote:
Vogts was also stopper regardless of the fact he played mainly on the right back position. His DEF was better than Peruzović and many other defenders..Surely better than Beckenbauer who'll get big update soon

Charrúan wrote:
That's all right, but he will not be higher in DEF from Peruzović..

Does he need some updates?

Watched him a bit and what I can say is this set needs a general update, in the 77 final his individual marking on Keegan was impressive, something like what he did in 74 against Cruijff...From what he displayed, his Konami Set is more suited to his style than this one, specially the DEF and RES values, might seem high for a SB at first glance but that was Vogts, I'd also say the current 95 in STA is over the top regardless the intensity he put on the pitch in 90 mn. His passing was better than Konami's for sure, but TECH, DA, DS I don't see them better than what they gave him. He was not a footballer, he was a defender, one among the best.

Well, I can tell the same as you... But not sure, for me he had better TECH (75-76) and DS (74-75) than KONAMI's set...

DA/DS both should stay in low 70's, he couldn't and wouldn't do much with the ball as it wasn't his game. Tech could be at 75 max, for me he doesn't need it higher.

Could any change be expected here?

I don't have a set for him but I would take his PES 2011 Konami set and make some changes on it. For me that PES 2011 set is more or less representative of what he was.
He should be rated like this:

I'd like to see some opinions about ACC and TS, I remember him faster than your values.

For me his TS and ACC are right in the actual set... At least ACC, for me TS is little higher than my own view but only one point, I could give him 85.

And well, the set posted by MagiDip seems suitable for Vogts, I consider that suits better than the current set which is a little overrated in some aspects, but IMO he should have green value in LPA and LPS, and better TW (82-83), he had good understanding with his team mates

So no more suggestions for MagicDip set? Is it ok? Can I move it to the first post?

Side should be RF/RS. If I'm not totally wrong Vogts only played on the right side during this time, as leftback he only played during the first years of his career..

What do you think about raising his Defence a few points? Some of you recommends a 92 in DEF, I don`t know if that is a very high value, but something like 88 could be right for him.

A bit late but I agree with at least 88 for DEF, that’s what Thuram has for his Parma days, and I don’t see Vogts below him. This guy was simply fantastic, someone with that level of ability in marking and tackling shouldn’t be on only 84 DEF regardless of if he was a SB or not.
