INFO:

Fantastic playmaker and technician. Many people say, including Franz Beckenbauer, Flohe was the best German player in 70's. Some also say he was the greatest technician in history of German football. When Flohe was in ball possession it was impossible to take it away without fouling him. He was brillant technician, excellent dribbler, fast and strong as well, very endurable with powerful shot. He always had surprising ideas, very inventive and tricky player, but also great passer as well especially his crosses were dangerous and often lead to goal. In his hometown club TSC Euskirchen developed the talent of technically outstanding offensive player Heinz Flohe. On 7 November 1965 he made his debut in the match against Yugoslavia in Belgrade in the German Junior National Team. In May 1966 he took part with the DFB-team at the UEFA youth tournament in Yugoslavia. In season 1966/67 he was the first German champion of the Bundesliga era, the first FC Cologne obliged. Together with the new coach Willi Multhaup next to the talented young goalkeeper with fleas Milutin Soskic and winger Roger Magnusson and international expert came to Cologne. In his first Bundesliga season fleas came on 18 league goals and two inserts. On 3 May 1967 he made his debut in the Junior National Team Under 23 international match in the DFB in Moenchengladbach against Czechoslovakia at the side of Günter Netzer, Jupp Heynckes, Horst Köppel, and Herbert Wimmer. His first title of outstanding engineers won the midfield winning the DFB Cup with the first FC Cologne. On 9 June 1968 the Cologne in Ludwigshafen defeated VfL Bochum 4-1 success and brought the trophy to the cathedral city. Germany coach Helmut Schön took fleas for the first time on 22 November 1970 in one of the football team. Germany won the match against Greece in Athens with a 3-1 outside - fleas were in the 79th Günter Netzer minute substitute. He played from 1966 to 1979 a total of 343 times as a midfielder in the Bundesliga for the first FC Cologne and 1860 Munich and Cologne in 1978 with German football champions and 1968, 1977 and 1978 DFB-Cup winner. Between 1970 and 1978 was 39 times Flohe the jersey of the German national football team, scoring eight goals. He stood at the World Championships in 1974 and 1978 in the national squad and in 1974 football World Cup. Overall, he came with seven world cup games and two goals. On 1 December 1979 suffered a foul by fleas of the former player of the MSV Duisburg, Paul Steiner, a complicated tibia and fibula fracture. Thus, his playing career was over. As a result of injury (damaged nerves) still suffers fleas. The later attempt to sue Paul Steiner failed, the fact that Steiner is no "intent" could be detected. Later still had fleas as an assistant coach at his hometown club first FC Cologne. In addition, he coached several soccer clubs in his home district of Euskirchen, including the TSC Euskirchen and TuS Ülpenich. Most recently he was the national league team TSC Euskirchen active in the 2009/2010 season as a talent scout, he also supported his son Nino (coach) in their daily work. Heinz Flohe has been involved with youth football for years. The Bonner SC, the first FC Cologne and his home club TSC Euskirchen it is connected and monitored regularly, the B-and A-Youth Games in his home county. He has received several invitations for the current gym, which he declined all of them (except for double-win in 1978 in the presence of the entire crew of the 1st FC Cologne). Flohe is a big fan of boxing. He regularly attends professional and amateur fights in Germany and surrounding countries. Flohe was and is a great sympathizer of the FC Schalke 04 As a young player he had wanted to go there, but his mother insisted that her son should play in the "homeland". Flohe was having heart surgery in 1992 and had to be on 7 January 2004 because of persistent cardiac arrhythmias undergo surgery again. He appears to be new heart valve was used. Since 11 May 2010, Flohe has been in coma, after a stroke.
