Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Defence MindedINFO:Petros Ravousis is considered to be one of the best AEK defenders ever, forming a legendary partnership with Lakis Nikolaou. During the late 70s he was one of the best defenders in Greece and he was the defensive lynchpin of one of the strongest teams in AEK's history. Ravousis was an excellent 1-on-1 defender, usually tasked with marking the opposition's most dangerous attacker and keeping them quiet with his strength and well timed tackles. With Nikolaou's aerial strength, the awareness of Ravousis and the understanding between the two, along with an effective offside trap they mastered, the two defenders formed a formidable back line. They further proved this at Euro 1980 where they only played 1 game together but held eventual champions West Germany to a 0-0 draw. Despite his ability, Ravousis suffered from injury problems in his career, which only got worse after 1980 and after that tournament his career declined. He won 22 caps for Greece and won 2 league titles and reached the UEFA Cup semi final with AEK.
