INFO:
An epitome of French Total Football player, class in its purest form. On and off the field. Like his "classmates" (Guillou, Jouve, Eriksson...), Jean-Noël Huck is one of the great symbols of the 1970s, which transported a whole generation of Niçois. Speed and power at the service of impeccable technique, these were the qualities of this relay midfielder, the kind of box-to-box player who defends as well as he attacks. With his long outbursts while percussion on the right side, Jean-Noël was a rather spectacular player. Hard-working midfielder and organizer, decisive passer with a fantastic short passing game. Fast, with a great split long ball to the side. Characteristic marauding runs, excellent technique, liked to shoot just outside of the box. Overall, player of immense technical and athletic possibilities. Versatile footballer: he even happens to hold the position of libero.

Huck started playing football in his hometown with the Association Sportive de Mutzig. In 1968 he was signed by Racing Strasbourg. After the club's relegation from Division 1, he moved to OGC Nice in 1971, where he played until 1978. With Nice, he composed with Roger Jouve and Jean-Marc Guillou one of the strongest midfields in the 1970s. Je was runner-up in 1973 and 1976 and reached the final of the Coupe de France in 1978. In total, he played 276 games, scoring 31 goals with Nice. Practicing an elegant, cunning and very well inspired football, Jean-Noël Huck, like his teammate Jean-Marc Guillou was undoubtedly possibly an exemplary player both from the point of view of his temperament and his loyalty. His elegant ball at the foot, his long mane and his long rides on the right side still earn him the nickname of Man Horse on the side of the Stade du Ray.

This was followed by brief spells at Paris FC and Paris Saint-Germain. From 1981 to 1984 he played for FC Mulhouse, with whom he was promoted to Division 1982 in 1. In 1985, he briefly took over as coach at Racing Strasbourg. In the 1986–87 season, he was player-coach at EA Guingamp, where he ended his playing career at the end of the season.

Between 1970 and 1975, Huck played a total of 17 international matches for the Équipe Tricolore, in which he remained without scoring.

We can see in several places on the internet that his height was 1m78, In this photo of the France 73 team you can see him surrounded by Dominique Baratelli and Jean-Pierre Adams, two players whose heights are 1m78, and he seems much bigger than them.

In the Ageducatif First Division 1970/71 sticker album we can see his real height and real weight when he was playing at RC Strasbourg.

Yes, i saw actually 3 different sources - in one he was 183cm, another common one said 180cm and the third one listed 178cm (mostly stickers and panini albums)
by the way, I found that very often stickers and panini images don't quote correct heights and weights, so that's why i wrote approximately 180cm (he's obviously somewhere between 178-180cm)

No SWP as a position? I also noticed that Guillou has it among his positions so it would make sense for Huck to have it too.

You're right - i've mistakenly given him CB instead of SWP - thanks Stuart
