INFO:
Kadhim was a centre forward. He spent his entire career at Al-Zawraa from 1968 to 1982. He gained 82 caps for Iraq, scoring 35 goals and taking part to 1972 and 1976 AFC Asian Cups, the 1974 Asian Games and the 1980 Olympics. He's the uncle of former Udinese and Atalanta player Ali Adnan.
Regarded as one of the greatest and most legendary strikers in the history of Iraq, Kadhim was very prolific and showed great form for both Al-Zawraa and Iraq throughout his entire career. For those reasons, he received attention from Belgian clubs alongside his teammate Falah Hassan. Kadhim was renowned for his powerful left-footed shots that he could deliver from any distance and position, hitting the target. However, he was accurate with the right foot too and was a good dribbler. Capable to bypass even the strongest defences, he was hard to control even for the best defenders because he constantly moved from his position within the field. He also was a good free kick and penalty taker. He scored fantastic goals against Kuwait and Bahrain but the best is probably the one he made against Yugoslavia during the 1970s, when he delivered a long range shot from the middle of the field and the goalkeeper saw the ball only when it was inside the goal.
