Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Defence MindedINFO:Tawfiq Al-Muqrin was a Saudi defender, regarded as one of the best in the country's history and as the best defender in Al-Nassr's history. From a young age he was a huge presence in Al-Nassr's backline and he's also the youngest captain in the national team's history. Tawfiq was a very powerful defender, standing out for his size and strength in a country where footballers are usually small and agile. He was practically unbeatable in physical contests and was strong in the air too, he scored some goals from headers in his career. He was an ultra-defensive player, almost never crossing the halfway line, just covering spaces to cut out any passes forward. Although he spent most of his time just heading crosses away, he was actually an intelligent defender and his positioning was very good, rarely even having to make a tackle or use his strength. He was also recognised for his leadership. On the other hand he wasn't a technical player and he only ever touched the ball to smash it as far away from his own goal as possible. He had a lot of injuries in his career that led to his retirement at only 28 years old.
