INFO:
De Falco is a former centre forward or right winger. The most important player of Triestina during the 1980s, he played for the Alabardati from 1981 to 1987 and in 1988-89, scoring 82 goals in 216 matches. He played also for Cesena, Como, Catania, Salernitana, Siena and Reggiana.
De Falco wasn't gifted with a strong physique but he could defend the ball while on his feet very well. He didn't use to press much the defenders but he was a fearsome threat for them inside the box thanks to his good technique, preference to move in tight spaces with sudden sprints and dribbling with which he could easily overcome his opponents. All that was an addition to his accuracy with both feet, excellent timing, great sense of goal and position that made him implacable in the penalty area. He scored from there most of his goals but he was decently effective also from the distance or at shooting with acrobatic moves. In fact, since his short physique wasn't good for winning aerial duels, he always took advantage of the spaces left empty by his markers to score with a header or a bicycle kick.
