INFO:Musonda is a former side-back and centre-back, usually deployed on the left. His career started in 1995 at Nkana FC. He then played for ZESCO United from 2003 to 2006, excluding a short loan to South African team Free State Stars in 2005. After a brief spell at Zanaco in 2007, he eventually had his best time at Golden Arrows in South Africa where he played from 2007 to 2014, making 164 appearances and scoring 7 goals. He retired in 2019 following a season with Polokwane City, still in South Africa, and five years at Nkana FC. He capped for Zambia 108 times, winning the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
An accomplished, reliable and uncompromising defender, Musonda was one of Zambia's most consistent players for several years. His defensive abilities were overall good as he could mark, tackle and anticipate quite well. Surprisingly capable with both feet, he had solid ball distribution and dribbling skill. He sometimes ventured forward to support his strikers. Occasionally, he would pull off acrobatic saves or score from free kick. After leading the back-line throughout the entire 2012 African Cup, he had to quit after 11 minutes in the final due to an ankle injury following a crucial intervention to stop Gervinho.
