INFO:
Kingson is a former goalkeeper. His career started in 1995 at Accra Great Olympics in his native country Ghana. One year later, he transferred to Turkey when he joined Galatasaray. Unable to become a regular in the first team, he was loaned to Sakaryaspor, Göztepe, Antalyaspor, and Elazığspor between 1998 and 2003. He was eventually sold to Antalyaspor in 2005 but was never a starter here either. After a decent spell on loan in Sweden at Hammarby in 2007, he played in England for Birmingham City in 2007-08 and Wigan Athletic from 2008 to 2010, always as second choice goalkeeper. He played regularly for Blackpool in 2010-11. He retired in 2016 following short experiences with Doxa Katōkopias in Cyprus, Balıkesirspor in Turkey, and once again with Accra Great Olympics. The goalkeeper with most games played for Ghana, he represented his country 93 times, even scoring 1 goal in a 2008 friendly match against Tanzania.
Considered one of the greatest goalkeepers in Ghana's history, Kingson was peculiar due to his abilities and flaws. He possessed excellent reflexes, quickness when coming off his goal, solid jump to reach high balls, and was capable in one-on-one situations. On the other hand, he often needed to touch the ball twice to block it, showing struggles when he had to catch a ball firmly, sometimes causing potential troubles to his defenders or allowing an opponent to attempt a second shot. Kingson also had a good ball distribution, especially in his long passes as he could send fast balls to the opponents' half that could start an attack for his own team or even become a possible assist. Other than that, his pure technique on the ball wasn't good.
