INFO:Sibaya is a former defensive or central midfielder. His career started in 1998 at III. Kerület, in Hungary. He returned to his native country South Africa one year later as he signed for Jomo Cosmos where he played until the end of 2001. He then had a short and forgettable experience at Rosenborg in 2002. He eventually had his best time at Rubin Kazan where he made 182 apperances and scored 3 goals from 2003 to 2010. He retired in 2013 following three seasons with Moroka Swallows. He capped for South Africa 62 times.
A short but tough midfielder, not particularly fast but gifted with high stamina, Sibaya was one of the most important players in the early 2000s South African team. Not the typical
Bafana Bafana defensive midfielder, Sibaya had the main task to cover the back-line, fighting for the ball constantly and tackling his opponents, though he surely wasn't the fairest of tacklers. However, he possessed remarkable technical qualities, accuracy on both feet, a powerful long range shot that didn't earn him many goals, a good jump to reach high balls, and solid ball distribution especially in his short passes.
