This set is a complete mess. He needs separate set when he played as SB, because from what I remember in Milan he never played as LB and certainly for his time in Italy all speed stats should be in green, also STA 87 is overkill for Milan era. RES 85 is a complete joke for any of his eras...

This just doesn't go together, in Milan he was classic NO.10 already passed his prime, slow and lazy but technically gifted playmaker without much movement on the field, certainly nothing to do with some pacy left side/wing back he's been before...

Yes, I was thinking to delete this thread because it's completely wrong.

In Milan he played only side or central offensive midfielder never side-back.

This is my rough set for him based on Nakayama set made on Magic's forum with some adjustments.

Would need to create different sets of Leonardo according to different stages of his career. For example, precisely, the set where he played with AC Milan in 1999. And one relating to the two World Cup he played, namely 1994 and 1998, where he held different roles.

I don't know, some values are fine like DA, TEC and passing but some stats are clearly overrated like RES, SA, AGG...

I've never seen this player as some great legend, personally I don't see him much better than his stats from PES 4, and here's that set:

Yes, especially AGG is too high for Milan era..Also I don't remember him being some great free kick taker, maybe he could sit on same level like Zidane or even below him..

The PES4 value of FKA seems to be perfect and enough for now..

It seems that Leonardo's set has been abandoned for quite a long time... Can I make a full overhaul of this set in the "Stat Practice" topic? I was planning on creating multiple eras, such as 1993 - Early 94 (São Paulo and SB for Brazil) / late 94 - 96 (Kashima, More offensive roles) / 97 (PSG, Tournoi de France and Copa America) and then a dedicated set for WC1998 (and Milan).

That would be very valuable. If possible adding his earlier carrer when he was called up for the NT for the first time. His Flamengo and São Paulo's first stay.

I have a more complete set on him on my website, but I'm not completely satisfied with the results of it. As I see it, Leonardo is probably one of the hardest players to rate because he style of play changed dramatically over the years.

I actually created different sets for each part of his career. While at São Paulo during 91-93 he played anywhere on the left flank (mainly a SMF, but sometimes playing as a RMF), he played mainly LB with the NT.

Shortly after the WC, he transfers to Kashima and starts playing mostly as an AMF (free roaming for sure), not really bothered with defensive duties.

At PSG, he seemed much more of a SS, playing behind a proper CF. He ended up playing CF sometimes, but he didn't do very well (e.g. Cup Winners' Cup, against Barcelona, switching with P. Loko between SS and CF).

Then, at Milan, he became a LWF of some sort, while at the seleção he played as a central or right AMF, such as in the WC.

Some day, I'll spend some time to review my sets, and then post them in the stat practise page.

Post subject:  Re: LEONARDO 1998-1999

Yeah. True.

He was a midfielder in lower categories. He end up being promoted to the proffesionals as left back in 1987 because Airton and Adalberto injured during the pre season right before the championship beggins.

Aldair was the left back in the first season match. He was very bad there. That's why Flamengo had to looking for someone in the lower category.
