INFO:

Fuad Amin was a Saudi footballer best known for scoring two of the most famous goals in their history: the first Saudi goal ever at the World Cup to take the lead over the Netherlands, and a long range winner against Morocco in their next group game. He was also famously stomped on by Zidane at the 1998 World Cup, leading to a red card for the Frenchman. He was a strange player whose performance would fluctuate wildly over the course of a match; sometimes he would beat players with the ball at his feet, play nice passes and fight to win the ball back constantly but then he'd go through a 5 minute period where he looked like an amateur, just jogging around the pitch and misplacing every pass. His position was also hard to determine, he was very often the deepest midfielder, picking the ball up off his defenders and carrying it forward but then he often drifted out to the right wing, almost acting like an SMF. He was a good header of the ball and a threat from long range and free kicks, leading to him having a decent scoring record. He liked getting forward but was sometimes slow to get back, although that seemed more due to a lack of awareness more than a lack of stamina. Despite his flaws he mostly held his own against some excellent midfielders and his goalscoring exploits ensure he will always be an important figure in Saudi footballing history.

Some pretty nice distance shots in this video, maybe he could have Middle Shooting/Long Ranger. Great channel btw with lots of videos for Saudi and especially Al Hilal players ;)

It's so hard to decide what to do with this guy, I don't think these stats are very accurate (Madani, Zubromawi and Al-Khilaiwi need some work too). Like I wrote in the info, sometimes he looked like a great DMF breaking up the play and then distributing it forward, and then he'd randomly spend 10 minutes out in the RMF position doing absolutely nothing. And then he somehow scored 2 goals in the 94 World Cup, and then played as a CB in 1998. It's almost like he just did whatever he felt like. Definitely a high STA player but virtually everything else about him was all over the place. He would change from a 65 TMW player to a 85 TMW player every 5 minutes lol. This video also confirms something else I noticed: if a Saudi player exists, then there also exists a video of them scoring a free kick. Zagallo must have brought Zico in to teach them free kicks when he was NT manager in the early 80s, even the defenders were scoring them.

Thanks for showing me that channel by the way, it'll be especially helpful for the 80s guys who don't have much full game footage. The videos of Al-Naima in particular are excellent, he was way too good for the Saudi forwards of that era. One more thing, it's very difficult to decide what name to use for some of these guys, Fahad Al-Bishi for example is called Fahad Al-Harifi in Saudi Arabia but his shirts always said Al-Bishi, same with Khaled Al-Muwallid (known as Khaled Massad, but with Al-Muwallid on his shirt). And the spelling of Al-Naima is different in almost every source. I decided on using that spelling since that's what brought up the most search results in Arabic.
