INFO:Ibrahim Meer, twin brother of Eissa, is a former left-back. He spent his entire career at Sharjah from 1985 to 1997. He capped for the United Arab Emirates at least 57 times, taking part to the 1990 FIFA World Cup. Starting his career as midfielder, Ibrahim Meer was turned into a left-back and he's considered the best in his position that the Emirates have ever produced. He was equally active in defence and attack. He stood in front of the opposition's strikers like a wall despite his short physique, blocking the way with solid marking and tackling. When he pushed forward, he would move either centrally or down the left flank. He could exchange passes before reaching the opposing goal and take advantage of his fine left-footed shooting ability or he could stay on the side and deliver an accurate cross. While he apparently never hit the net for his country, he scored several goals for his club Sharjah, and at least once from free kick, although the shot was deflected.
