Ali Dyab is considered one of the most prominent defenders in the history of Syrian football, ranking second in the number of appearances for the national team with 97 international caps. He began his career with Al-Majd Club and won the AFC Cup title with Al-Jaish Club. He also had professional stints in China and Iraq. He was a key player in the Syrian national team's starting lineup at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup and won numerous domestic titles with Al-Wahda Club. He is known for his defensive solidity and height, but he can make some costly mistakes due to lapses in concentration at certain points in a match.
