INFO:
Geraldo Scotto was a Brazilian soccer player who played as a left back. Although he was somewhat physically weak, he was a tough defender. He marked closely, giving his opponents no chance. Because of this, he earned the nickname “carrapato(tick).” He even showed a certain class in defense, calmly and precisely disarming his opponents' advances. Scotto arrived at Palmeiras in 1958, coming from Santos, and stayed at the club for almost ten years. In the Brazilian Championship and Rio-São Paulo Tournament, he faced off against “Mané” Garrincha, who considered him one of his best and most loyal markers.

Geraldo Scotto, an iconic left-back from the 1950s and 1960s, was known for a playing style "ahead of his time," which stood out for his offensive forays, in addition to his traditional defensive responsibilities. During his career, mainly at Palmeiras, he was a reference in the position for: Supporting the attack: Unlike many full-backs of the time who focused exclusively on defense, Scotto actively participated in his team's offensive actions, which was an innovative characteristic for the position at that time. Efficient marking: Despite his offensive drive, he was also recognized as a competent defender, earning the reputation of being a "tick" marker on his flank. Positioning: His ability to cover the left side well and, at the same time, have a presence in attack, made him a fundamental piece in the victorious Palmeiras teams of that era, which won multiple Paulista and Brazilian titles.

suggestions: add S09 - Covering , P17 - Offensive Sideback
ATK: 66>69-72 - He frequently participated in attacking plays.
STA: 79>81-82 - Despite the era, he was a player ahead of his time, attacking and defending frequently; 79 would seem low for a player who did that all the time in matches.
Condition/Fitness: 4? 5-6 He enjoyed more than 350 games for the club in 10 years, even though at that time there weren't many matches and championships to compete in.
and DEF, I think they might even be close or in yellow; he's considered one of the best full-backs for Palmeiras and a marker in Brazil.

Man, I had access to all the information you mentioned, but I researched it further, in periodicals of the time that detailed his performances. However, the information on the Palmeiras website is a little exaggerated. It's not that it's 100% untrue, but it goes a little beyond what this player actually showed on the field.
Take Nilton Santos' stats, for example (Scotto himself considered him “the greatest player he had ever seen play”). He truly innovated the position, being the first to “attack,” and Scotto's numbers are no exception to this pattern.
Geraldo started out as a “deep-lying midfielder,” but because he was short and not physically strong enough for direct duels, he was moved to the side. On top of that, he suffered three concussions in two years precisely in these situations of duels for the ball, meaning that stamina was not his strong point.
Yes, I understand that stamina is necessary for players who perform many roles on the field, but that is not the case with Scotto too. His attacks consisted only of carrying the ball into the opponent's half, looking for an unmarked player, and passing the ball to them in depth, nothing more. He just made the game easier for his teammates.
Yes, he played for Palmeiras for 10 years, but as I said, he was often injured and for a long time shared the starting position with Ferrari. So, that's it. Still, I appreciate your contributions.
