Tim Breukers was a Dutch right-back known for his consistency, tactical discipline and defensive commitment, whose career was consolidated mainly at Heracles Almelo, a club where he had two long spells and became one of the most consistent names in the team's recent history. Discovered by Heracles himself, he made his professional debut in 2007 and quickly established himself as a starter at right-back, being a reliable player due to his solid marking, reading of the game and physical delivery, even without great offensive brilliance.
On the field, Breukers was never a very aggressive full-back in support, but rather a conservative, safe and efficient defender, who prioritized containment and positioning. His discreet but reliable style made him a frequent player in the club's formations during several seasons in the Eredivisie. In 2012, he was signed by FC Twente, where he spent three years as a reserve and occasional starter, but without the same prominence as in his first spell at Almelo.
Unable to establish himself in Enschede, he returned to Heracles in 2015, where he found his place again and was once again a regular starter. Always playing regularly, he was a mainstay of the squad in stable league campaigns, and also participated in Heracles' historic qualification for the Europa League in 2016, one of the most important moments in the club's history.
Breukers retired in 2021 as a symbol of longevity and professionalism. He is remembered as a hard-working, tactically disciplined right-back with a strong connection to Heracles Almelo, being respected for his loyalty, consistency and important role in providing defensive balance to the team over more than a decade.
