Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedInfo: Born in Strumica, he is considered one of the best Macedonian soccer players of all time, along with Golden Boot winner Darko Pančev. He started playing as a teenager at FK Belasica, then moved to Belgrade giants FK Partizan, but after not getting many opportunities there, he moved to FK Teteks in the Second League, where he would become the club's star player. Two years later, he caught the attention of another Macedonian Second League club, FK Vardar from Skopje. After another two seasons, and with Ringov's help, Vardar returned to the Yugoslav First League, where he would play for most of the 1980s. He became the club's main player, having played more than 200 league games and scored 93 league goals for them by 1986. It was in Skopje that Ringov played most of his career, with the exception of a short half-season spell at another top-flight club, Dinamo Zagreb, and near the end of his playing career, another half-season spell, this time at 2. - Ringov played refined football with great technique, while coach Marković still preferred physically stronger players.
He played only the autumn half-season in a blue jersey, during which he stood out, for example, in a match against Porto in Maksimir in the first leg of the 1st round of the Cup Winners' Cup. He entered at the start of the second half with the score 1:1, first hit the crossbar, and then assisted Kranjčar for the winning goal. Dinamo's team was taken over by coach Marković before the return leg, Ringov did not play, Porto scored in the final stages for 1:0, advanced thanks to an away goal and reached the final where they were defeated by Juventus.
Ringov spent most of his career at Vardar. He took his first football steps at Belasica in his hometown of Strumica, after which he briefly played at Partizan and Teteks, and towards the end of his career also at German Eintracht from Braunschweig. He was distinguished by his recognizable thick mustache, elegant movements, and the number 11 on his back.

Često se postavljalo pitanje zašto je u Vardaru briljirao, a u Dinamu nije, a najčešći je odgovor glasio da je u Skoplju imao nekoga tko je trčao za njega. Za Vardar je postigao 93 prvenstvena gola i drugi je najbolji strijelac u povijesti kluba, odmah iza Darka Pančeva. Za Dinamo je odigrao 12 ligaških utakmica i postigao tri pogotka.
- Two years later Partizan took him and later he also played for Teteks, Vardar, Dinamo and Eintracht Braunschweig, before returning to Vardar to win the 1986/87 league title making a fantastic attacking duo with Darko Pančev. Ringov played a total of 179 matches in the Yu top flight, scoring 73 goals. He provided many assist, but unfortunately there is no record for those numbers from that time period. People say the he exactly knew where Pančev is anytime in the box to sent him a cross. As Pančev himself said many times, winger Ringov was responsible for many of his goals. He was also a gifted free kick taker.

Zatim je nastupao za Dinamo Zagreb, a imao je i sezonu u Nemačkoj gde je igrao za Ajtranht iz Braunšvajga. Završio je karijeru 1987. godine u Vardaru. – Bile su to dugačke lopte. Ne znam da li je bio bolji centaršut od Beckhamovog, jer to puno ljudi nije moglo videti. Tad je malo kamera prenosilo te naše utakmice. Sad je modernije, malo više marketinga i 20 kamera na stadionu. Imao sam tu dugačku loptu i dobar centaršut koji smo zvali “kifla”. Interesantan je to bio centaršut, jer je bila jaka lopta, maltene sam šutirao. Precizno sam to radio, Darko [Pančev] je to samo dočekivao u šesnaestercu i skretao loptu glavom u gol. Auteur de 69 buts en 154 rencontres avec son club, Vardar Skopje, Ringov, qui vient de fêter ses 28 ans et peut donc jouer à l’étranger, se rêve un destin à la Safet Susic. Il n’a jamais joué en équipe nationale yougoslave, payant sa fidélité à sa région d’origine, la Macédoine, où il est considéré comme un véritable héros. Quote: Le 11 juillet, Ringov est bien présent sur la pelouse du Parc des Princes. Dans un rôle excentré qu’il affectionne peu, il a le temps d’adresser un centre magnifique pour Luis Fernandez qui marque de la tête. On joue la 43eme minute, le PSG égalise et va finalement s’imposer sur le score de 4-1. Ringov ne le sait pas encore, mais cette passe décisive sera le dernier ballon qu’il va toucher sous le maillot parisien ! Lucien Leduc, entraîneur des Rouge et Bleu, le sort à la mi-temps, car il n’est pas prêt physiquement. En toute honnêteté, Leduc mettra lors un terme aux espoirs de Ringov : « Ses qualités de footballeur ne sont pas en cause, d’autant qu’il est à court de condition physique et a débarqué ici dans une période délicate. Non, ce qui m’a retenu, c’est qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un véritable ailier de débordement ».
