Thus, the time came to wear the first team jersey. He made his debut in the 67/68 season, against Partizan, one of the ‘big four’ teams. I came on for the last 15 minutes, Kocho recalls. Partizan were winning 1-0 and that was the final score. I was excited, but also happy because I saw that the coaches believed in me and I just had to wait for the right opportunity. Playing alongside Meto Spasovski, then Mirko Ilievski, Sokrat Mojsov, Petar Šulinčevski, the most famous names at Vardar, was a great honour. It was like a dream for me. That's why I was happy; when I played for at least a few minutes, it filled me with joy and spurred me on to try even harder. Interestingly, after his debut against Partizan, Dimitrovski returned to the first team the following week. Not only that, but in the match against Dinamo Zagreb, also a member of the ‘big four’, he scored a goal. This was an even greater boost for the young player, and it has become clear that Vardar is getting Kočo Dimitrovski, a player they can seriously count on in the coming years. Kočo Dimitrovski is a Vardar boy, where he started at the age of 11 and devoted his entire 17-year career to the Red and Blacks, playing there from 1968 to 1985.
