- Video 1:
*Minute 1:21, Perácio has the ball and passes it to Afonsinho, who controls it with his left foot but passes it back with his right (I question whether he's right-footed), but from what I can see, he's comfortable with both feet.
*Minute 2:39, Poland counter-attacks. Zezé Procopio desperately tries to intercept but can't. Meanwhile, Afonsinho moves with great speed across the field. Initially, he thinks Zezé has intercepted the ball, but seeing that it remains in Polish possession, he makes a very good short run and sprints to recover it. However, this ends in a penalty as Domingos Da Guía brings down Willimoski in the area.
* - Video 2:
*Minute 4:40, the player receives a pass, controls it with his left foot, and with his right, sends a cross into the heart of the penalty area to connect with one of his team's forwards, possibly Luisinho Mesquita. In that match, he played as a right midfielder, and Romeu moved to center forward.
- Video 3:
*Minute 0:18, Martim is in a defensive position, trying to close down space. However (as seen in the video cut), Afonsinho tries to steal the ball, taking advantage of his teammate's distraction, but fails and is beaten by the Italian attacker, who was more alert.
*Minute 0:48, Zezé wins the ball back in a tussle, passes it to Martim who dribbles to midfield, and then passes it to Afonsinho, who was making a run down his wing. Martim controls the ball with his left foot and then passes it with his right to Perácio, highlighting that he is a right-footed player but also comfortable on the left.
*Minute 1:50, the ball is lost, and Afonsinho, who was behind the Italian player, demonstrates a remarkable short run-up to try and recover the ball. This again confirms that he is a fast midfielder, a fact also supported by the video of Brazil playing against Poland.
Notes: If there is one thing I must comment on about the player, it is that he has almost the same attacking prowess down the wing as Zezé Procopio; however, he doesn't usually position himself well, and this leads him to recover using his speed to try and close down spaces. He combines well with the players around him. In conclusion, his greatest strength is his speed. He closes down space for rivals and has decent passing technique, he is small, almost the same height as Romeu Pellicciari, and has a slender build.
