He played for 1. HŠK Građanski – Zagreb and, as team captain, won two national titles (1923 and 1928). Towards the end of his career, playing as a left-back, he wore the HŠK Concordia – Zagreb jersey and won another national title in 1930.

He played 14 matches for the Zagreb city team (1922-1926) and earned 11 caps for Yugoslavia (1921-1931), scoring two goals. He made his debut as a left winger on October 28, 1921, against Czechoslovakia (1-6) in Prague, and retired from the national team as a left-back on March 15, 1931, against Greece (4-1) in Belgrade, in the Balkan Cup.

- Nastupao za Građanski od 1919. do 1929. i osvojio dva državna prvenstva. Kasnije igrao za Concordiju, s kojom je bio prvak 1930. i dočekao kraj igračke karijere. Imao je dličan pregled igre, točna proigravanja, pucao objema nogama. Neobično jak, visok, neustrašiv, prilično okretan, dobar pucač i oštar igrač. Igra glavom bila mu je jedna od velikih odlika.

- Nadimak Braco. Nastupao za Građanski (1923–28), s kojim je osvojio prvenstva 1923. i 1928., te Concordiju (1929–31), s kojom je bio prvak 1930. Svestran igrač, nastupao je na svim mjestima u momčadi – od braniča do krila; neosporna zvijezda prve generacije naših reprezentativaca. Odlična pregleda igre, točna proigravanja, pucao objema nogama. Za reprezentaciju Jugoslavije (1921–31) odigrao 10 utakmica i postigao 2 pogotka; prvi put nastupio kao lijevo krilo 1921.
