He made his league debut in 1928, initially playing as a forward. He also played briefly in midfield, switching to defense in the early 1930s. He quickly became a mainstay in the Blackshirts' defense, eventually becoming the team's captain. He also played for Polonia Warszawa during World War II, participating with the club in underground football competitions. Under his leadership, the Polonia underground team became the Warsaw District champions in 1942 and 1943. He continued playing football until 1947, celebrating the first Polish Championship in 1946, in the first post-war edition of the Polish Championship.
