Attack-MindedINFO:Arturo Arrieta was an Argentine footballer who played as a left-winger. Born in Lanús, Buenos Aires (12/07/1910), he made his debut on April 5, 1925, in a 3-0 victory for San Lorenzo over Sportivo Barracas. One of the best left-wingers of his time, he formed a formidable partnership with inside-left Diego García, leading them to several titles, including the 1927 Amateur First Division Championship, San Lorenzo’s first-ever title, the 1933 Professional First Division Championship, the club’s first professional title, the 1927 Copa Aldao, and the 1936 Copa de Honor. Arrieta's career was marked by misfortune, as he frequently had to leave the field due to injuries. Notably, in 1936, it was believed he might never play football again after Independiente's back Fermín Lecea fractured his left fibula with a harsh tackle. Arrieta, along with several of his teammates like Jorge Fossa, Diego García, and Petronilho de Brito, is considered one of San Lorenzo’s first football legends. To this day, he is remembered in the Boedo neighborhood with a mural alongside his eternal wing partner, Diego García.
Total career statistics: San Lorenzo (1925 - 1939) - 273 games, 63 goals.
Argentina National Team (1933 - 1935) - 5 games, 1 goal.
