Attack-MindedINFO:Oscar Dertycia is an Argentine former footballer who played as a center-forward. Born in Córdoba (03/03/1965), he began his football career at Instituto de Córdoba, the club of his hometown for which he has been a recognized fan since a very young age. He made his professional debut in the Primera División on September 8, 1982, in a 1-1 draw against Club Estudiantes de La Plata, coming on in the 66th minute for defender Mario Cortez. His goals were not long in coming as just 18 days later, on September 26 of the same year, he scored the first of many for La Gloria, in the 11th minute of a 1-1 draw against Nueva Chicago. Thanks to good performances but, above all, goals, he earned a call-up to the U-23 National Team, then coached by César Luis Menotti, and just one year later he would make his debut for the Senior National Team coached by Carlos Salvador Bilardo, being part of the pre-World Cup process towards Mexico 1986, although he was not finally called up for the big event. After the World Cup, he was called up again on occasions to the Argentine National Team, being part of the squad for the 1987 Copa América, although he did not play any games. In 1988, he moved his goals to the Argentine capital, signing for Argentinos Juniors, where he would finally be crowned top scorer of the Argentine First Division, with 20 goals in the 1988-89 season, a feat that had been eluding him during his time at La Gloria. It is after this spectacular season that Cocayo moved to the then-best league in the world, Serie A to play for ACF Fiorentina. Dertycia ended the decade as the second top scorer in Argentine football in the 80s, with 105 goals, only behind Jorge Comas, left winger for Colón, Vélez, and Boca Juniors. At Fiorentina, Dertycia suffered a collision with the star Diego Maradona, which almost took him away from active football. This injury caused him to have universal alopecia, which later became his trademark. The 90s arrived with Dertycia playing in Spanish football, more specifically for Cádiz in the 1990-91 season. Then he would be transferred to C.F. Tenerife, where he would be surrounded by Argentine players such as Fernando Redondo, Diego Latorre, or coach Jorge Valdano. His last team in Spain would be Albacete Balompié in the 1994-95 season, this being his last club in Europe before returning to Argentina to play for Talleres de Córdoba. In the 1996-97 season, he would have his second and last spell at the club of his love, scoring 10 goals in 27 games, and being crowned the all-time top scorer of the city club, with a total of 99 goals in 222 games. Dertycia would end his career at Deportes Temuco, in Chile, General Paz Juniors, in his native Córdoba, and finally retired from professional football in 2002 playing for Sport Coopsol, in Peru.
