INFO:
Sadok Sassi, better known by his nickname "Attouga", is a former goalkeeper. He spent his entire career at Club Africain from 1962 to 1979, making 417 appearances. A Tunisian international from 1963 to 1978, he capped for his national team 116 times and at least 85 caps are recognised by FIFA. He was supposed to take part to the 1978 FIFA World Cup but he missed the competition due to injury.
Arguably the greatest goalkeeper Tunisia has ever produced and one of the biggest football legends in his country, Attouga was tall and distinguished by high confidence, great positioning, safe ball handling, sense of anticipation and authority in commanding his defense. He possessed solid jump that added to his height, was quite agile considering his size and was very effective one-on-one as he often came off the posts to stop a striker, sometimes even leaving the area and using his feet. He gave his arguably biggest contribution to his national team when he saved a penalty taken by Morocco's striker Faras, thus qualifying Tunisia to the 1978 World Cup.
