Goalkeepers:
My first idea was to add three goalkeepers: Córdoba, Gatti, and Roma, as all three have more or less the same impact for the club, be as in games played, titles won, or cultural impact, but that was quickly ruled out. The general consensus on this topic in Argentina is that Óscar Córdoba is the greatest goalkeeper in the history of Boca Juniors, which I 100% agree. In the end, we decided to move A. Roma to the reserves.
Defenders:
By far the most difficult part of the team and maybe the most controversial. In my opinion, the only players who had their place in the first team absolutely secured despite who we added or not were R. Mouzo, S. Marzolini, and, controversially, H. Ibarra (who for me is the greatest right-back in the team's history by a BIG margin. First I thought of moving C. Sosa to the midfield section, as he played more than half a decade for Boca as a DMF (right-half, more precisely) and for the team, he is more remembered as a midfielder than a right-back; this way we could add V. Pernía as Ibarra's substitute, but we decided not to, and keep Sosa in the defenders' section. Then, we needed a left-back substitute for S. Marzolini, but the three most competent options (R. Arruabarrena, A. Tarantini, and C. Rodríguez) were quite lackluster in comparison to what we could've added in other positions. I wanted to go for Arruabarrena but Interista went for Tarantini (same amount of games and same amount of titles), so it was subjective. For the center-backs, as I said, the only one secured was Mouzo, so the decision was between Meléndez/Bermúdez/Bidoglio, with the two latter making the cut.
Midfielders:
Pretty straightforward. We only changed M. Trobbiani, who I don't know why was there, for S. Battaglia, the winningest player in the history of the club.
Forwards:
Another controversial one but we decided to keep Delfín Benítez Cáceres out of the team and add Guillermo Barros Schelotto and Carlos Tévez. I wouldn't mind having Benítez Cáceres in the first team, as he's had an amazing goalscoring record and he's an all-time player, but the cultural impact Guillermo Barros Schelotto and Carlos Tévez had for Boca Juniors is unquestionable. It's impossible for me to diminish the size of these two players for Boca in the 21st century, and I can't fathom a Boca Juniors All-Star team without these two.
Reserves:
I sent Interista a list of ~50 players that could make the reserves so he could remove some (I was very indecisive). In the end, he decided to go with these reserves which we fully agreed on. Personally, I removed Oscar Ruggeri, who is persona non grata in the club, and Domingos da Guia, who despite his amazing performances at Boca in the 30s and his legend status as the best Brazilian center-back ever, he only played there for one year, which is definitely not enough to even consider him.
Starting XI:
We haven't worked on a Starting XI yet. My original idea was to find a way to include the four biggest idols of the team (besides Bianchi): Riquelme, Palermo, Maradona, and Rojitas; but that seemed impossible, so I opted for some sort of 4-1-2-1-2, like this:
