Vanenburg should be replaced with van Bommel. He is considered as one of the greatest PSV-ers ever. Last night was his farewell match and he was only the 4th player in the last 25 years given a match like this (the others are W. van de Kerkhoff, Nilis and Cocu)

Added R. Koeman to the reserves (captain in 1988 when PSV won the EC1) and switched Vanenburg with van Bommel. Also linked all the created players

Not sure. He can be included since both are really midfielders and not defenders so switching them is possible. But I think that the backline needs to be fixed: there is only 1 central defender atm. My suggestions are: moving at least van Nistelrooy and Poortvliet to the reserves and add van Wissen to the midfielders and add a CB. Who do you suggest as CB? I'm even tempted to replace Edstrom or one of the SB's in the current team with another CB but the problem is that both Edstrom and the SB's deserve to be in the team more than any of those CB's But just 1 or 2 CB's and 5 SB are a little crazy. My options as CB are van Kraay, Strick and Valke. Koeman is also an option: he was the most succesfull of them with winning the CL but the others played way more matches for PSV (Koeman ~100 and the others 250+) so I would pick one or two of these 3

I really don't know which SB to exclude, they were all big PSV legends and it's hard to eliminate any of them. I've choosen Poortvliet because other guys were better and played more for the club. So I'd really like to see Fons instead of him.. You are right about defence structure, additional CB is needed. But I suggest Van Kraay not Koeman, Koeman's peak was in Barca not in Eindhoven. The problem is who to remove from the first squad I know you will not agree, but I suggest to leave out Cocu...He spent his best days far from Eindhoven...If not that than put him instead of Van Nistelrooy, there are 5 CF in the first team, that's too much since they were all same type of player, classic box strikers..

Basicly my thoughts yeah. I've put van Kraay and van Wissen in the first team and van Nistelrooij and Poortvliet to the reserves. For team structure I would like another CB and a left winger but I think it will be very hard. I'd rather switch Thoressen than Cocu. You are right about Cocu's peak but Thoressen was important for PSV between 81 and 86. The later years he was a reserve or injured. PSV started collecting prices from the 85/86 season so his impact on winning prices was very small (he was great before though). Cocu won with PSV 4 championships, 2 national cups, 2 super cups and a semi final in the CL.

No, please not Thoresen. IMO the best ever PSV player.. If you want to put a winger in, that the only solution would be to remove Edstrom.. There are 6 strikers currently in the first squad and except of Nilis they are all typical CF, Fransen was also CF regardless the fact he played as inside left..

The main problem is that I don't know a left winger that deserves to be in the first squad so I guess I won't have to remove anyone anyway. Or do you have a suggestion?

He is Jurrie Koolhof, not Jurne Koolhof.

Luuk de Jong could be in the main team, or at least on the reserves in the place of Jurrie Koolhof or Arnold Bruggink. He is now the 2nd top scorer of PSV with 186 goals and has almost 250 games for the club, only behind Willy van der Kuijlen with 300+ goals. And In PSV he has won 5x Eredivisie, 4x Dutch Super Cup, 1x KNVB Cup. Individually he was Eredivisie top scorer twice (2018/19 and 2023/24), Best player of the season 2023/24 and Dutch Footballer of the Year 2023/24.
