Arne Harald Hansen (born February 6, 1944) is a former Norwegian footballer who played most of his career in Bodø / Glimt. Arne Hanssen played striker, his greatest quality in this position was a combination of strong physique and a precise and tough shots feet. About Hanssen, it is said that if he got the ball first in the legs in and around the 16-yard box, was the goal. Hanssen was a master at protecting the ball long enough shot to use the foot. His weakness only lack of speed and quickness.
Arne Hanssen played two periods for Glimt. The first period was when he broke through in the 1960s. He had great success, but the northern Norwegian team had no opportunity to move up in the top division until the 1970s. Hanssen decided to accept a move to Rosenborg. In Trondheim he was top scorer in 1972. Hanssen returned to parent club Bodø / Glimt about the same time as Terje Mørkved and Harald Berg returned to his hometown. Together they formed much of the creative force that made Bodø / Glimt to a top club in Norway in the 1970s. Hanssen has probably scored over 600 goals for Bodo / Glimt, which is also club record.
