INFO:
Biagini was a left-footed midfielder, whose main position was inside − in his late career, he was occasionally moved back to a central midfielder position. His career began in Lucchese in 1952. Very promising, he was bought by Atalanta at the end of the season. Unfortunately, he played only 4 matches in two seasons. He was sold to Palermo, where he had more space: 58 games and 3 goals in four seasons. However he had to leave due to issues with the club. He transferred to Catania, where he immediately helped the team reaching the Serie A promotion with 9 goals. He played seven years for Catania, scoring 13 goals in 157 matches and being captain in the last two seasons. He retired in 1968 after a two-year spell in Taranto.
Not a prolific scorer − even though he surprisingly became top scorer in his first season in Catania − Biagini was acclaimed mostly for his technical skills. His main task was to be the playmaker and deliver passes and crosses, which he could do also from free kick. When Palermo bought him, the club was looking for an inside forward who had humbleness, tactical intelligence and was good with both feet. Biagini was just that. He impressed in Palermo and Catania with his soft touches, elegant run, harmony in the movement when he was about to cross or shoot. Especially in Catania, he was an irreplaceable player, always active and with a clear mind.
