INFO:Ouma is a former centre-forward who could also play as right-winger. His career started in 1964 at Luo Union where he played until 1974, scoring 86 league goals. He then played for Gor Mahia from 1974 to 1978, and Kisumu Hotstars from 1978 to 1980. He scored a total 126 league goals. He represented the Kenya national team from 1965 to 1977, scoring 35 goals in 66 caps. He missed the entire 1969 season after he had received a nine-month jail sentence in November 1968 for attacking two players with a meat clever during a drunken fight over a girl.
Considered one of the best strikers Kenya has ever had, Ouma started as a right-winger but eventually switched to centre-forward, position that became his primary one for the majority of his career. According to those who had the chance to watch him play, his remarkable repertoire of skills could leave a lasting impression. It's said that he could score or create a scoring chance out of nothing, especially when his team was down. On the other hand, it's also said that he could disappear from view only to appear suddenly, exchange passes with his teammates, dribble past a bunch of markers, and finish with style. He was, in fact, a deadly striker with confidence in ball control and creativity as he created scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates out of nowhere. It's noteworthy that he wasn't, though, always prolific throughout his entire career: while he scored 79 goals for both club and national team between 1965 and 1968, and 71 between 1973 and 1976, he scored a total of only 21 in the other seasons.
