Ngassaki was a centre-back. He spent his career at CARA Brazzaville where he played in the 1960s and 1970s. He represented Congo during these two decades, winning the 1972 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ngassaki was a reliable defender and capable marker, careful and reactive when he had to anticipate an opposing striker or cover for a teammate. He likely didn't have good ball distribution as he'd always rather kick the ball away from danger, usually gifting the opposing team a corner kick or throw-in.
