INFO:Enyeama is a former goalkeeper. His career started in 1999 at Akwa United (then known as Ibom Stars) in his native country Nigeria. He transferred to the successful team Enyimba in 2001, spending four seasons, winning three national league titles, and making 102 appearances, even scoring 11 penalties. Following a year at Heartland FC, he transferred to Israel where he played for Bnei Yehuda between 2005 and 2007, and Hapoel Tel Aviv between 2007 and 2013. He played a total 226 matches in Israel, once again proving to be a good penalty taker during his time with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Signed by Lille for the 2011-12 season, he played only 5 games but became the team's starting goalkeeper in 2013, eventually playing 159 times in four years. He retired in 2018. Nigeria's keeper from 2002 to 2015, he represented his country in 101 occasions, winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
One of the best goalkeepers Nigeria has ever produced, Enyeama was excellent overall in his role thanks to his strong physique, quick reflexes, agility, and great goalkeeping ability. While he was effective in denying powerful shots, either from close or long range, he usually preferred to push the ball away rather than properly blocking it. He also possessed outstanding jump, good pace when coming off his goal to deal well with one-on-one situations, and solid ball distribution that allowed him to organise the play. His biggest flaw concerned his ability and positioning between the posts as he sometimes would position himself in a spot that left enough open space for opponents to score an easy goal, whether it was a header or a standard shot.
