Koroi was a central midfielder. His career began in 1977 at Nadi, where he spent the majority of his career, winning a Premier League in 1978, four in a row from 1980 to 1983, and one more in 1985. He played also for Suva in the late 1980s. During the 1980s, he also capped for Fiji, captaining the side in several occasions. Distinguished for his leadership, great vision and ball distribution, Koroi is considered one of the best ever midfielders in Fiji history. He was a delight to watch in action as he was tall, skillful, and in possession of a cool composure.
