Jaffer is a goalkeeper. After beginning his career at Malkiya in 2004, he transferred to Al-Muharraq in 2007 and he's been playing for the team up to now. He capped for Bahrain 157 times so far, and he's the current national team captain. Considered by Bahraini legend Hamood Sultan as the best goalkeeper in Bahrain's recent history, Jaffer has distinguished himself for his composure in the field, ability to read the game, and leadership skill despite his position. Even though he has a big figure, he's quite agile, quick at getting into position, and gifted with excellent reflexes. Also, he can come out off his goal and use his feet if necessary.
