INFO:Dhouib is a former right-back. He spent almost his entire career at Sfaxien where he played from 1972 and 1979 and 1980 to 1982. He played in Saudi Arabia for Al-Nassr in the 1979-80 season. He capped for Tunisia 52 times, scoring 1 goal which is the third in the 3-1 win against Mexico at the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
One of the best right-backs in the history of Tunisian football alongside Hatem Trabelsi, Dhouib had an elegant style of play ahead of its time as he constantly supported the forward line, showing fine technical qualities, solid pace, ball distibution and good crosses. In fact, a cross from Dhouib led to a crucial goal in the 4-1 win over Egypt during the 1978 World Cup qualifiers. He scored against Mexico at the 1978 World Cup with a powerful right-footed shot at the end of a run to the opposition's area. He was good in the back too as he made it difficult for any attacker to dribble past him. He could take the ball off his opponent with efficience and fairness, rarely receiving a yellow card.
